Edward died in 1781. Judith's will was exhibited in court there in 1806. Many famiy trees show her maiden name to have been Southall. I've also seen it as Archer or Scruggs. I've yet to see any source as how it was determined that Judith's maiden name was Southall. Edward's brother Hezekiah also married a woman named Judith. Some have her name as Southall as well. Although these two brothers both married women named Judith, they definitely did NOT marry the same woman as some seem to think. If anyone has a source or any clues as to where I might find proof for the maiden name of either of these women I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for any help you might have.
