My name is Pauletteri. I live in Pittsburgh, PA. My father is Eugene, named after his mother's (Pauline) brother, Eugene Robinson. My grandmother had a brother William, Eugene and sisters Inez and Irene. I heard there may have been a brother names Frederick. Irene Ellis is still alive and about 98 years old. My father and his brother, Ronald are still alive. I would love speak with you more as I am researching the family history. I have birthdays and dates of death. I hope your Christmas wish comes true, Shirl. What a great gift that would be for you and your family. I'd love to find the parent's of my Great grandfather, Joseph or Joel H Robinson, born AL ca 1851. They must be in the witness protection program 'cause I have looked and looked - for twenty years and everytime I think I am close, things fizzle out. So many Joseph's and so many variants. Not even a close dna match. Years ago I heard the CDs were no longer for sale because all their Pedigree Resource data had been uploaded to FamilySearch. At the time I heard it confirmed, I gave away my CDs in favor of using the ever-growing website. I have Volume 8 of the Pedigree Resource Files and included is a Master Index for disc 1 thru 126. It list all names up through CD 126. (Tabitha's mother, Mary Field, first married Edward Jones, b. 1633, who was old enough to be her father, and they had two daughters before he died in 1695 - Tabitha, born the year he died, and Elizabeth. Mary then married Charles Scruggs, b. 1665, and they had several other children. Tabitha was raised in their home and was sometimes known as a Scruggs.) We believe our line descends through their son Field Robinson, though exactly how has become very problematic. If you have any information that would help we would be most appreciative. Our problem, briefly is this: Our grandfather, Walter Bieghler, left notes about his ancestry which state that his grandfather Jacob Hanger married Nancy Robinson, and that Nancy's father was Field Robinson. He also states that Jacob's brother George Hanger married Obedience Robinson. We know that Jacob Hanger married his Nancy Robinson in 1798, and his brother George married Obedience Robinson in 1799, and both couples had children starting in 1800. Our problem is that Field Robinson Jr., who married Keziah Scruggs in 1784, and had daughters named Nancy and Obedience, had them too late to be marrying in 1798 and 99 - Obecience would have been about 9 years old. And yet in pages sent me from a book on Robinson's by Betty Robertson Riley, this generation's Nancy and Obedience, (no birthdates given) are each followed by "married unknown Hanger." Suspecting an error I looked at the previous generation. Field Jr.'s father Field Robinson who married Tabitha Jones (Scruggs), also had daughters named Nancy and Obedience - sisters of Field Jr., and their ages are appropriate for marrying the Hanger brothers. But Ms. Riley's book has that Obedience marrying a John Nichols, and another source has that generation's Nancy marying someone else also. Of course I don't know if either of these marriages is documented in any way or otherwise supported. I haven't discovered a way to contact Ms. Riley. Since the source of the first name Field is the maiden name of Mary Field, we almost have to have the right family. But, assuming the Hanger brothers were not pedophiles, either the reported marriages are in error, or there is yet another Field Robinson in the family who also had daughters named Nancy and Obedience. This has become quite a conundrum for us. Is there any chance you have any helpful information, or leads? My book is available from Amazon or from http://www.ypdbooks.com/biography/504-the-saga-of-the-robinsons-YPD00471.html. If you order from Amazon it may say "Out of print" but this simply means they need to order it from the UK. It is definitely in print! Sexton. Jane's sister Elizabeth Ann Robinson b. 1821 married Adniram Sexton, Thomas Sexton's brother. Family tradition states the Robinson sister's were born or resided in the District of Columbia (Maryland Side). About 1838-1840 the Robinson sisters married the Sexton Brothers in Fayette Co., Ohio. Then the two families moved on, one to Illinois and the other to Indiana. I would like to find information on the Robinson sisters' parents and siblings if any. I don't have any names as leads. email me at: pjmcg5@gmail.com Thanks very much. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
