I have been looking for ancestors of a Hinchy Cary Johnson, b 1792 in GA As far as I can tell, I am the only one who has information about his 1st marriage to Rebecca COSBY (DICKENSON), daughter of Hickerson COSBY Dickenson (it is said Hickerson Dickenson used his mothers maiden name during Civil War and continued his line with Surname Cosby. They have issue: Augustus Y. Johnson, Columbus C. or O JOHNSON, Nancy C or O Johnson, Rbt H., Rebecca N. Hickerson Cosby JOHNSON, George Newton JOHNSON. I am hoping that the Nancy Johnson who married Elder Wm. Marion ROBINSON is MY Nancy. THough her birthdate in a handwritten paper shows her birthdate to be Jan 20, 1821 in Warren county (he is listed in 1820 Census there). His migration is 1820 Warren Co. GA 1830 Wilkes Co. GA 1840 Coweta Co. GA 1850 Meriwether Co. GA (Lone Oak, Troup) 1860 Chambers Co. AL (some desc. remainted others migrated on to Chilton Co. AL then on to TX I think that Mordica JOHNSON. b 1788 is his brother and at a minimum b-i-l as he married Becca's sister Frances Fanny COSBY. I would love to hear from anyone who may have additional information on this Nancy JOHNSON Robinson. I recently found a lost marriage record of his marriage to Ellizabeth Baker 1836 in Walton County, GA. They have 9 issue and I come from this line. I have a fair amount of photos and information on these descendents.
