I am looking for any information on an A. P. Morris (lived in AL and maybe GA) who married a widow, Sarah F. Calhoun Robinson about 1859 and moved to Louisiana. They had the three known Robinson children Mary, Emma and Walter b1857, and two Morris children: James O. (Oliver?) and Sarah F. (aka Fannie.) Morris. NEW INFORMATION: I believe A. P. may be Allen Price Morris, and he may be related to the John Oliver Morris and his son William Morris who moved to Winn Parish LA from Alabama about 1848. Perhaps he was a brother to John Oliver Morris? Anyone related to either Morrises or Robinsons or know anything about these families? A. P. (Allen ___) Morris born 1821 in North Carolina, claims to be a physician in 1860 LA census. Supposed to have met Sarah F Calhoun Robinson in Georgia where he was business partners with her husband Dr or Mr. Robinson. Dr or Mr Robinson would have been deceased between 1857-1860. Sarah F. Robinson Morris, born 1830 in Georgia children: Mary Robinson born 1850 Emma Robinson born 1852 (1851 actually) Walter John Robinson born 1857 (July) Sorry if this is a repost. Thanks to Judy for new information and resources. I am related to Emma Calhoun Robinson who married John Brandon in Texas 1872. Hello List!! I am new to this list after trying many other avenue's and coming up with absolutely nothing I thought I'd try this. JOHN ROBINSON born approximately 1849 in either Northallerton, Yorkshire (per the 1871 census) or Halifax (per the 1861 census). John was living in Skelton and working as a Blacksmith at the time of the 1871 Census with his father JAMES and Stepmother ISABELLA. John's mother HANNAH having died in December 1864 and James remarried in June 1865 six months later.they didn't muck about in those days!! At the time of his marriage in 1873 to CATHERINE ANN COLLINS daughter of THOMAS COLLINS (deceased) he was living in Shildon. Catherine, John and 1 year old daughter Sarah immigrated to Australia in 1878. I cannot find a birth certificate for either John or Catherine, I have their marriage certificate and Catherine's death certificate and all children's birth certificates. I cant find John and his family in the 1851 census but have them from 1861 onwards. Cant find Catherine's family at all in the census. Any suggestions, ideas or encouragement welcome at this stage. Cheers Elice in Oz

Below is a Bible record of this Robinson family from Roane County TN. I do not have any further information on this family. I do however believe my Eliza Robinson b. 1812 (married Larkin Crow) is the same Eliza Robinson b. October 3rd 1812 in this Bible record, who is the daughter of James Robinson b. 25 August 1770 and Betsey Ann Robinson. With the wording below, it state Betsey's name as Betsey Ann Robinson. Don't know if Robinson is her married name or her maiden name. Would love to correspond with any oter Robinsons from family (can receive e-mail from the Robinson surname list, all others will be blocked, however anyone e-mailing me personally, can add to my mailbox - Also Please Note: Not all information from the original Bible record is written on corresponding pages, see below, births is written under marriages). I did not make any changes and is how it appears on the Roane Co., TN web site. I do have copies from the original Bible record. http://www.upgrades.net/hardware/decorative_hardware.htmlThe decorative hardware of Enoch RobinsonHis cousin Obed Robinson (b. 1762) of Attleboro, Massachusetts, began as a blacksmith and made gunlocks for the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Later he made clocks, jewelry, and buttons. Richard Robinson (d. 1837) and Willard Robinson (1799-1879), also cousins of Enoch, made glass and gilt buttons and built a two-story brick factory, a shop, and a rolling mill in Attleboro. They employed one hundred workers who lived around the factory in a section of town that became known as Robinsonville. In the spirit of the time they boasted about the superiority of their buttons to those made by domestic and foreign competitors. (6)Enoch Robinson's brothers George W. (b. 1795) and Ezra (1811-1899) ran a locksmith and brass foundry business in Boston from 1832 to 1873 and also obtainedpatents for innovations.
