    3. Do you know who R. G. Robinsons parents were or if he had any siblings or an uncle named Walter? I am looking for all Robinson family groups in Georgia about 1830-1860. I am trying to find my Robinson ancestor who married Sarah F Calhoun and had children in 1850s: Mary, Emma, and Walter John Robinson (b1857.) We think the husband was named Walter and was a landowner and possibly a doctor, and may have been born 1825ish, married 1845ish, and died 1858 in Georgia. The wife Sarah F (Calhoun?) remarried to a Doctor Allen P. Morris in 1859 and lived in Alabama before moving to Louisiana and having two more children with Dr Morris. Robinson family ended up in Texas near family friends the Dulaneys. I am just writing and posting because I am hoping that someone will find a Georgia sibling named Walter Robinson or Robison or Robertson so I can finally place my people in Georgia. Later census records say they were all born in Georgia and family notes and history says they were Robinsons born in Georgia, but I have not found any marriage records or birth records or census records for the family yet. Is there anyone available to do any Georgia lookups, or suggest places where I might do lookups myself (from out of state?) I am not sure what county or city to go direct to local archives or historical societies. Just that census records indicate state of Georgia. Concentrations of Robinsons may indicate Jasper or Harris County?? I saw a post on familysearch.org once that said there was a father named Jacob who had a son named Walter born 1820. That would be the right age for my guy but I cannot find him anywhere. Does anyone know this family? Any and all help requested, please. Thank you so much- Diane ----- Original Message ----- From: <Twoscentsworth@yahoo.com> To: <ROBINSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 28, 2006 8:52 PM Subject: [ROBINSON] R.G.Robinson, Harris Co., GA c.1885 > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3cDBAIB/8146 > > Message Board Post: > > looking for descendents of R G. 1. David Robinson and Hannah (_________)
    2. I am searching for the ancestry of David and Hannah. I notice there is a good amount of activity on the boards so I will post again. They were born in the 1760s probably in MA, NH or ME. They are first found in the 1790 census of Steuben, Washington CO., ME with their first 2 children of seven. David and Hannah both died before the 1850 census so no clues as to where they were born. Around 1800 they moved from Steuben to Lubec. The first 6 children were born in Steuben and the last in Lubec. Their children: 1. Fanny b. 31 Jan 1787 (my ancestor, she m. James Huckins), 2. Alexander 16 Sep 1788, 3. Joseph b. 10 Apr 1791, 4. William b. 24 Oct 1793, 5. Elizabeth b. 27 Nov 1797, 6. Mary b. 27 Apr 1799, 7. Jane b. 30 Aug 1803. I have been unable to find a marriage for David and Hannah. David may descend from one of the Robinson's progenitors on the Robinson Scroll. Any help or clues from your database for David and Hannah will be greatly appreciated. Thank you... Harald Huckins

    3. I am searching for William Robinson who married Mary E. Stevenson. Mary was born in New York. I believe she remarried and became Mary Morrison. I don't know where William was born but I believe it was North or South Carolina. I don't have birth dates. William and Mary had five children. They were: William, Calvin, Mary, Lucielle and George. George was born on December 8, 1902. I did find William (the child) in the 1930 census for Paducah, Kentucky. He was 34 years old and his birthplace is listed as South Carolina. His father's birthplace is listed as South Carolina and his mother's is listed as New York. I know this isn't much to go on, but it's really all I have. Help me Please!
