They came from Spartanburg, SC and settled in Sevier County, TN. Later my great grandfather, William T. Robinson and his family moved to Chattanooga, TN. He remained there until his death as did my grandfather, Orlando. My grandfather's brothers, James and Fernando, moved to Texas (Dallas/Ft Worth) in the early 1920's and remained their until their deaths. Thanks for responding.

    1. Rhoda ROBISON - MO
    2. I am trying to trace down descendents of Rhoda Iva ROBISON/ROBINSON b. Nov 1883 in Warrensburg, Johnson Co., MO. Her parents were Nelson ROBISON b. 1809 Loudoun Co., VA (yes his birth year is correct!) and Dora J. Peck SANKEE b. 1848 in Mohawk Co., NY. Dora was a widow or divorcee of Unknown SANKEE who had family in the Johnson Co., MO area. Nelson was her 2nd husband. After Nelson's death, Dora m. for a 3rd time to Thomas REED and in the 1900 census for Wellington, Sumner Co., KS Rhoda is shown as 16 yr living with her mother and step-father. The addess given is 617 E. 4th Street, Wellington. Thomas REED d. 1909 and after that, I can't find any census record for Dora or for Rhoda and I cannot find a marriage record for Rhoda. If anyone knows of this family, please let me know. I have a lot of data on the ROBINSON family and would like to trace Rhoda to see what became of her. Melinda Larson

It simply said Grandpa - William Alexander Robinson born 1849 Macon, TN" I knew his children including my husband's grandfather lived in the area around Shawneetown, IL and was able to find a marriage certificate for Sarah Jane Boaz and ALEXANDER Robinson there. I have since found several census records and the place Alex is buried in nearby Union, KY. Someone has told me [art of Macon County, TN used to be Smith County.
