Surnames: Robinson and/or Talley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3cDBAIB/8284 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on a John Robinson b. 02 OCT 1815 in Virginia in Lancaster County. He married a Caroline H. Bradley on 9 June 1849 in Lancaster County. Their children were Mandrid, Milton, Josephine, Alice, Vi(r)ginia, and Lucius Talley. I am guessing that John's mother's maiden name may have been Talley since Lucius's middle name was Talley and John and Caroline are listed as neighbors in Lancaster Co.'s 1850 census to the Talleys. I am almost positive that John's parents were both born in VA. If this sounds familiar let me know at angel_11_09@hotmail.com or ashley.crisp@smail.astate.edu. Thanks!

Do you have any further info on this William? I am trying to find my Ggrandfather's parents. I know that he is listed in the 1880 census as b 1875 or 1873 and in Indiana. But I am not sure that this is correct. He was not raised by his real parents and that is my problem. I do not know for sure if he was really even born in Indiana or if they just put that due to the fact that the family that raised him was living there at the time. His "adoptive" parents are from Germany and Scotland. So I am just checking all possible leads. Thanks you, Marcia

    1. ROBINSON Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Irene ROBINSON which was taken at the Sunbeam Studio in Los Angeles, California. The photograph is dated 21 Sept 1898 and notes that Irene is 2 years old at the time. I did that for my Uncle even though I already had his info. He was also killed on his ship at Savo Island, Japanese Attack, Aug 9, 1942. He is listed on the ABMC Tablets of the Missing and your Mr. Robinson may be there, too. One thing to note about these tablets is that the date is 1 year and 1 day ahead of the actual death. It is a government thing! Also, have you placed him on the WW2 National Memorial Registry? www.wwiimemorial.com There you can enter info about his service (how ever much you have) and upload a photo ($10, I think) of him.
