Here is her obituary - ------------------------ She was born in Jackson county, Missouri, December 7, 1865. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Courtland. Her father was a veteran of the Confederate army and fought under General Stonewall Jackson in the Civil war. She went to Lawrence, Kansas, in 1886 and was married to Mr. Johnson October 17 of that year. The couple celebrated their fifty sixth wedding anniversary last October. A few months after their marriage they came to Oregon and had lived in Portland, Clatskanie, and in southern Oregon before coming to Corvallis 38 years ago. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. R.P. Bowman, Albany, Ca; Mrs. Anna Fisher, Vallejo, Ca; Mrs. Elmer Hathaway, Corvallis, and Mrs. Edith Hathaway , Vancouver, Wa two sons, Arnold Johnson and Raymond V Johnson. Burial Crystal Lake cemetary, Corvallis, Oregon ---------------------- I have found a marriage certificate for TJ Courtland but he married Sarah M. Herelson not Margaret Herelson. The census's say differently though. I have not been able to figure this out myself. I had discovered Margaret through hints but have removed her from my tree due to lack of evidence. 1. [ROBINSON] Hontie Robinson Family
    2. Barry Stevens
    3. I am looking for the parents/family of Hontie Robinson. She was born in 1878 around Kansas City, MO I believe. She married Samuel C Stevens, of Brown County, Ohio in Kansas City in 1904 and passed away in Shreveport, LA in 1908. She is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO (she is in Find-A-Grave). I believe she had three brothers with J. Harry and Orion (?) being two. The third brother I have no name for. She also is supposed to have had a sister named Effie/Effe. J. Harry or J. H. Robinson may have been married to a Florence and lived in Terre Haute, Indiana, but both J. H. and Florence apparently died in St. Louis in the mid 1960's. Hontie's mothers maiden name may have been Lukens. Fathers name may have been William. I've not been able to locate any Robinson family in any census' in Missouri that fits. Would appreciate any clues or information. Thanks, Barry Stevens [email protected]

    3. I am looking for information concerning the Robinson family of Maury and Williamson Counties in Tennessee. My 3rd great grandmother, Mary Whitley Robinson was born about 1798 in either North or South Carolina. She married a Robinson (or Robertson or Roberson), probably in South Carolina. Between 1823 and 1828, the family arrived in Maury County. In 1850, 1860 and 1870, Mary lived in Maury County. By 1880, Mary is living with her son-in-law, H. John Coleman in Williamson County. 3. Barbara, >From LDS film #0873925 "Centennial Celebration 1895, History of Litchfield Maine" p287: I have the following notes on your Levi's family: Jabez b. Falmouth, Ma 15 May 1747 Moved to Gardiner (Maine), lived there for 3 or 4 years and in 1781 moved to Litchfield (Maine). 1809/10 he was the Rep.General to Court of Massachusetts. m. Martha MIGGS, 26 Feb 1769 (she b. 25 Sept 1746, d. 26 July 1810). He was killed by a falling tree 23 Mar 1812. Had 12 children, including Levi, b. 26 Nov 1782. - he married 1) Lois Richardson, 2) Betsey Cleaves. Although Jabez was old enough to serve in the war, none of his children were. I also have notes from "A List of Soldiers from Brunswick and Topsham, The Several Indian Wars" which lists a Nahum Robinson twice, from 1735-37. Since that is such a rare name, and is listed in Thompson's per message below, it may be worth checking into as a descendent. It doesn't say on this one if he was in the Revolutionary War. I believe "The History of Litchfield, Maine," has something about him as he was an early settler there. I am sure you know how to find the names of those in the Revolution. The next reference is "Eastham, Wellflet and beyond." When you get to it click on the tab "individual style" under "everyone, especially Wellfleet." Scroll to bottom and click on "Surname list" Then scroll down to Robinson and go from there. You first ancestor on this one is Jabez b. 1737 and then you can trace it back from there... Have FUN with this.. 3. who were the parents of y'alls Pearl(s)? I have on in my family line also, but think she would have been born a few years later than 1910. My Pearl was married a couple of different times and also had an association with a circus. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 11, 2009 3:32 PM Subject: Re: [ROBINSON] robinson/bryson > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: JaniceCross369 > Surnames: robinson > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/9523.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > We have been asking about a Pearl Robinson , I found a pictures of Pearl > Robinson here in TN, Do not know if it is the one you are looking for.
