Hi, I will be curious to see the results of your y-DNA. Mine is E1b1b1b2 and my earliest known ancestor is James Robinson (1761-1833). My DNA results say that he should belong to the Robinson Family that settled around Wilminton, DE, and migrated into VA. I don't know where he was born but he died in Garrard County, KY. His wife was Catherine Augustus whom he married in Wilmington, DE, and brought her back to KY. G. E. "Robbie" Robinson Meridian, ID

My grandfather is as above or could be Arthur Leonard. I believe he owned a shop in Bell Street Dudley/Pensnett. It was a tobacconist shop. On the death of his wife Florence? from TB in 1935, he sold the shop and moved his daughter Muriel May to live with his sister. I would appreciate any further help with this side of the family. Leonard remarried after the death of his firt wife, his second wife had a daughter Pat. Leonard then died himself leaving his wife to raise two children. Leonard was buried in Dudley Cemetary, I even have the registration for his grave. I would really appreciate some help Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Did you mean 1857? Also, N.B. could be New Brunswick, couldn't it? Sounds like a very prominent family. Cindy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was murdered in the Indian Mutiny. Louisa was the daughter of Sir George Best Robinson, Bart, 1797-1855, the son of the 1st Baronet, Sir George Abercrombie Robinson, (1758-1832) by his wife, Louisa Douglas, dau of Major Gen Robert Douglas. Captain CRG Douglas, was the son of Major Robert Sholto Douglas, b. Abt 1772, himself the son of Major Gen Douglas. Who was Major Gen Robert Douglas? In some documents he is described as 'Major-Gen. Douglas, of Garlston, N.B.' NB is, I think, North Britain, or Scotland. I cannot find a Garlston. I have also seen it a 'Gariston', but cannot find that either. He is known to have married 'Elizabeth'. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
