    1. [ROBINSON] Edwin W. Robinson b14FEB1835 Lived Missouri
    2. Francis Robinson
    3. I'm just trolling for family. Edwin was born in Boone County Ky and traveled with his family to Canton Missouri near Hannibal. They moved back to Ky but he married and stayed in Missouri. He was the son of my gg-grandfather Francis Franklin Robinson and his first wife Emily Anne Waller. I suspect that the W may stand for Waller but could have also been for William since his grandfather was a William Waller. Edwin was a half brother to my g-grandfather Paschal Conner Robinson. Edwin was in Jeddo, Knox, Missouri in the 1880 census. Just looking for anyone that might be researching Edwin's line. -- Francis Robinson Central Indiana, USA [email protected]

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: BrianMathias43 Surnames: Classification: cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/731.816.1009.1014/mb.ashx Message Board Post: According to the death certificate of Sarah Jane Robinson, she was born on February 14, 1846 and died on November 19, 1917 in Wahkon, Mille Lacs County. The certificate indicates that her father was Dave Fustle and Rebecca Whitlatch, but the death certificate does not indicate the location in Iowa where she was born. Sarah Jane Fussell is seen residing in Linn County, Iowa in 1870, with her husband William Robinson. The odd thing about this claim of parentage is that Rebecca Whitlatch was born about 1831 in Pennsylvania and was residing in Linn County, Iowa with her father, John Whitlatch, and mother Anna Mann. She was single until about 1856, when according to the Iowa State Census, Rebecca Whitlatch married Peter Mann. They would later move to Steele County, Minnesota. Our subject Sarah Jane Fussell is not seen with this family in any census records. Meanwhile it is known that a man named David E. Fussell, was residing in Linn County, Iowa in 1846 during the time that Sarah Jane Fussell was born. According to the Portrait & Biographical Album of Fayette County, Iowa, "The year 1844 witnessed the arrival of Mr. Fussell in this county [Fayette County, Iowa], he taking a claim four miles west of West Union, but after a short time he returned to Ohio. In the spring of 1846 he again came West, but having been away from his claim two years it was jumped, and he located in Linn County. Three years later he settled at Bear Grove in Smithfield Township." Since prior to 1850, David Fussell, was residing in Fayette County, Iowa with his wife and family. Sarah Jane Fussell is not seen with them in the 1850 and 1860 census records. My THEORY is that David E. Fussell was obviously in Linn County, Iowa in 1845, and had an affair with Rebecca Whitlatch. This explains the names indicated on the death certificate of Sarah Jane Fussell-Robinson. The problem is, where is she in 1850 and 1860? She is not with either the Whitlatch or Fussell families. Sarah Jane Robinson, is buried with no tombstone at Foster Cemetery, Onamia, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. She is believed to be buried next to her husband William Robinson (October 12, 1828 - April 7, 1924). William Robinson served in Company H 14th Iowa during the Civil War.
