Hello list, I am interested in the family of John SAWYERS, born in Scotland, married Agnes DUFF in Closeburn, Scotland, 5 July 1861, had sons Robert., born 22 December 1861 in Closeburn, Scotland, and John Jr., born 10 October 1864 in Dalbeatie, Scotland. The family emigrated to Westerly in 1871, probably to work the quarry. Does anyone know where I can get information about the Newall Dalbeattie Granite Works? Thank you, Maureen
