His will was dated April 6, 1828, South Kingstown. Mentions: wife, Abigail Gardner, son, Benoni Gardner; daughters, Dorcas Knowles, widow of James Knowles, dec and Penelope Sprague widow of Jerimiah Sprague, dec; grandsons, Rowse P. Gardner, Benjamin H. Gardner & Rowland Gardner; granddaughters Dorcas Carpenter and Hanna Cottrell. Witn: Robert F. Noyes, Sarah Noyes and Susan Noyes. My question is this: Is this Hanna Cottrell, James Gardner's granddaughter, the same who married Peckham Cottrell? My husband's ancestor, Hannah M. Howard, is buried at Oak Grove Cem., Fall River, MA, having died in 1879. Her maiden name is unknown. I am trying with no luck to find her parents' names. Peckham died ca. 1835 and Hannah remarried a Mr. Howard, possibly William Howard. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mary Ellen Dickerson
