I now live in CA and miss not being able to access the local libraries for information. Yes, LaVerne was my grandfather. My father, Walter (deceased) had a half-sister Joann. I believe that her mother was Helen O'Keefe. Joann helped me get started with what she could remember. Unfortunately, I didn't get interested in the family tree until after everyone had passed away.
