    3. Edith, William Wright wrote a book "Ancestors and Descendants of William Browning Greene and Mary Hoxie Lewis". I have this book but I didn't find either your James Wilson or your Sarah Hoxie in his book. I will be looking at Charlestown Probate records soon. Charlie King gg grandson of Joseph Loomer Thompson born 1821 prob in Stonington. On Sun, 16 Feb 2003 12:19:28 EST Mooreedith@aol.com writes: Charlie, Thanks a lot for your response to my e-mail. I know there are/were a lot of Hoxie's in the Charleston area of Washington County. Some spell the name with an 's' in it and others don't. I believe the names I gave you might be my great grandparents. It is my best bet. I don't know how to confirm it and just thought maybe some legal papers might give some vital information. My Grandmother was born Sarah Ellen Hoxie in 1860. And according to my research there were more than one Sarah Hoxie's born in that area in that year. My Grandmother went by the name 'Nellie' however....and so the household of James Wilson and Emeline Hox(s)ie seems the most likely to be correct. My Grandmother Sarah E. Hoxie of Charlestown, RI, married Bradford B. Moore of Richmond, RI, in CT in 1892. They then resided for the next 22 years at the Moore homestead.....a place called 'Cliffmore'....Beaver River Valley. I have never been there but my father had taken many pictures dating back to the late 1890s and the early 1900s. My father died before I was old enough to ask questions. An older relative had given the name of her parents differently. So....I am just trying to narrow my search some. I wonder if my great grandparents may have known your Joseph Loomer Thompson? They would probably have married around the same time frame. Anyway.....thanks for your efforts! Edith
