    1. Re: [RIWASHIN] Edwards/Edward in Rhode Island
    2. I just looked up James R. and Emeline in the 1850 census - they did NOT have a daughter Emeline with them and Emeline T is listed as Tacy E. Edwards) - not an uncommon thing - i think Emeline T and Tacy E are the same. BUT next door to James and Tacy were Emeline's parents, Simon and Mary, ages 61 and 60 - with a 12 year old, Amy A. with them - could she be the daughter of Emeline before Emeline and James were married? Emeline is referred to as Amelia Kenyon in one records in Beaman's New Series? It seems to me this group had trouble with Amy, Amelia and Emeline - or the census takers, etc did! In 1850 James R. Edwrads and Tacy E. Edwrads had a son James R with them - in Beaman's his mother is referred to as Amelia. Donna in RI

    2. NEAL MULLINS
    3. Hello List, Would anyone know anything about the Thomas Rogers family? Thomas was born between 1670 - 1684 in Rhode Island, Westerly, Washington Co., I believe. He died August 22, 1736 in Rhode Island, again Westerly, Washington Co., I believe. He had about 13 children, some of who moved to Wake Co., NC. I've been told that my ggggrandfather Joel Rogers was an ancestor of this group of NC Rogers. He was born in 1798 in Wake Co., but I can't seem to find who his parents were. I've looked from the North Carolina side up, with no luck, so I thought I might work from the Rhode Island side down and can possibly locate the information from there. Thomas' sons were: Peleg Rogers - born Abt. 1705 either in New London, Connecticut, or Westerly, Washington Co., Rhode Island. He died between 1779-1786 in Granville/Edgecombe Co., NC. Peleg married Isabella Brand (daughter of Thomas Brand), August 26, 1726 in Rhode Island. She was born Abt. 1705 in Rhode Island, and died April 25, 1754 in Edgecombe Co., NC. He then married Elizabeth Smith January 5, 1764 in Edgecombe Co./Halifax Co., NC James Rogers - born Abt. 1710 in Rhode Island, and died Abt. 1794 in Rhode Island. Joseph "Job" Rogers - born Abt. 1710 in Rhode Island, and died Abt. 1772 in Wake/Edgecombe/Halifax Co., NC. He married Mary/Isabell? Stanbury, born Abt/ 1710 in Connecticut, on November 6, 1728 in NC. Thomas Rogers, Jr. - born Abt. 1712 in Rhode Island, and died in Halifax Co., NC. I, at one time thought my Joel was related to Rev. Joel Rogers, but can't seem to make the connection there either. If anyone has any information about who his parents might be, I would greatfully appreciate it. Thank You, Eileen Rogers Mullins nemullins@msn.com
