    3. I copied a page from Beamon's Washington Co Marriages Probate Records and it had for Nathan Thompson: "Nathan (Thompson) AND Sarah Babcock of Henry mwd 1834 We 4B:61" I assumed that this meant the Nathan Thompson's will could be found on page 61 of Book #4 of the Westerly probate records. I must be wrong because there are other entries like 3A:276 and 4A:375. Question: What does 4B:61 mean? Thanks for the help, Charlie King gg grandson of Joseph Loomer Thompson born 1821 someplace in CT married to Harriet Harvey in Charlestown RI in 1840 ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month! 2. Robert G. Leonard
    3. Cathalene was born in Westerly May 31, 1894, to Thomas J. Higgins and Gertrude (Larkum) Higgins. Somewhere around 1908/09, she purportedly ran away with "Mr. Reed." Her mother, Gertrude was reported to have brought her back and had the "marriage" annulled. But, out of that union a boy named Donald Reed was born--Sept. 20, 1910, in RI. Any help you could provide me would be so wonderful. Thank you, robert leonard

    3. Good morning listers! I have three questions, which I hope someone can provide insights on. First, I now believe that John Reed married Susan Culley in Westerly, RI in 1886. How can I go about locating a copy of the marriage record? Second, it also looks like Susan Culley was in Westerly with some other members of her family, such as her brother William Cully. I have found on Rootsweb that William Culley is buried in Westerly, having died in 1920. Are there any listers who are researching the Culley line? And lastly, I have also come across a Bathsheba Reed who died in Westerly back in the 1797. Does anyone have any knowledge of this Reed line? Thank you all very much! And if I can answer any questions from up in New Hampshire, do let me know! Ron Reed

    3. John Foster Not sure if this means anything to your search but: As stated a Mary Lewis married Richard Deake. Her father was John Lewis who was born in England and died in Westerly, RI 1690. His nephew, John Deake married Hannah Foster. Her father was John Foster born in Salem, MA. Daniel Lewis of Westerly, RI married Martha Prosser from Somersetshire, England. I am trying to prove the last name of my old known grandmother and it has been speculated that her name was Susannah Prosser and she married George Deake (parents of John Deake mentioned above). I also believe (but have yet to prove) that Richard and George Deake came from Minehead, Somerset, England. None of this ties to the Mary Lewis that you are looking for but there is a lot of linkages here between families. 3. John, One correction, if I may. The Mary Lewis who m. Richard Deake was the granddaughter, rather than the daughter, of English immigrant John Lewis who d. near Westerly ca 1890. She was the dau. of John's son, John Jr., b.in RI ca 1660, d. in Westerly in 1735.
