I recently found what I thought was a brother to my ggrandfather living in Rhode Island. This person, J. James Weeks, d. 25 Oct 1925, age 75 years, married 6 Oct 1875, presumably in RI, Georgeanna Sweet. 2 very kind people have sent me the 1880 & 1900 census entries for this couple. In both of them it says that Joseph J. Weeks was born in the US. I really think he is the person I am looking for (& that person was born in PEI, Canada) because I found, just 2 nights ago, some notes made by an elderly cousin many years ago (who just happened to die this month). My cousin had the names of James Weeks married to a Georgie Sweet. I thought I had hit paydirt....but then those 2 censuses.... Is there SKS out there who could get for me photcopies of J.
