    3. I know nothing about your Fannings, but did some checking on Genealogy.com and Ancestry.com and found the following that seem to support your dates, ages and relationship conclusions: I looked at the 1900 image on Genealogy.com and it was very clear: they lived at 1722 (Rear) Westminster: Fanning Mary(Sep 1879 20)RI/RI/MA Drawer in mill, Agnes(Mar 1817 17)RI/RI/MA Drawer in Mill , Martha(May 1885 15)RI/RI/MA Spooler, John(Jan 1887 13)RI/RI/MA Doffer, Isabel(Sep 1890 10)RI/RI/MA at school, George(Feb 1892 8)RI/RI/MA at school I checked the birth records and found: John F Fanning parents: Patrick Fanning Annie Fanning 06 Oct 1876 Emma J Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 28 Apr 1872 Daniel Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 18 Oct 1876 Vincent Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 18 May 1878 Mary A Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 29 Sep 1879 Eliza J Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 17 Oct 1881 Agnes Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 06 Sep 1883 Martha Fanning John H Fanning Eliza J Fanning 23 Feb 1885 Isabella M Fanning John H Fanning Eliza Fanning 07 Sep 1889 George Fanning John H Fanning Eliza Fanning 21 Aug 1891 Death Records: John H Fanning Kin: Patrick Fanning Nancy Fanning 33 Dec 1899 55 yrs Marriage Records: John Fanning and Eliza T. Don't know where Charlotte's birth record is or John's in 1887, but the others match up to your info. Hope this helps some. You can order any of these vitals on line(Email: reference@sec.state.ri.us ) at the RI Archives for only the cost of copies--$ .15 a page if you get uncertified copies. You ask for an order form, fill it out and they mail you the copies. Maybe it will help you find some more details. Fanning crossed out and Uncle George and Aunt Mary written on it. > > My husband's grandfather was Daniel Fanning (b. Oct. 18, 1876), I believe in Providence, RI. Daniel married Alice Pilkington. I am thinking that George J. Fanning was Daniel's brother. I have been able to find George J. listed in the Providence, RI, 1910 census as a brother-in-law living with Isabelle and Philip A. Kulz and their child Raymond E. Kulz. At that time George was 18 years old. > > I have found George J. Fanning in the Providence, RI, 1920 census, again listed as a brother-in-law with Martha W. and Walter L. Palmer and their children Dorothy G and (possibly) Catherine. At that time George was 27 years old. > > In the Providence, RI, 1900 census, I found Mary Fanning, listed in HeritageQuest as 21 years old but when actually looking at the census, it says 20 years. She is the Head of Household with what looks like Agnes at age 17, Martha at age 15, John at age 13, Isabel (cannot read age), and then George (cannot read age). The street name might be Westminster. Having sisters named Martha and Isabel (or Isabelle) seems like a possible connection. Also in the 1900 census, Daniel is listed as already married to Alice, and they are living on their own. Therefore, it is not surprising that he is not listed with the others. > > Do any of these names sound familiar? > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam?
