You're very welcome--I had a hard time sleeping last night--lucky for you I was on the computer for a while until I got tired! Looked for a birth record for Charlotte and John, but these don't make sense with everything else, unless someone made an error in recording the mother's name... or these are totally different people: Charlotte Fanning John Fanning Josephine Fanning 10 Jul 1873 John H Fanning John H Fanning Josephine Fanning 08 Jan 1887 Happy New Year, too! Hi Donna, Thanks for continuing to look for my Fannings! Hmmm. The John H birthday is the same month as the 1900 census. I wonder if Eliza's middle name was Josephine??? Her middle initial is J. Charlotte's birth info works with the 1880 census -- interesting that they list Charlotte first when she is younger than Daniel. And where is Emma? And Vincent? Perhaps they died young. Just thinking as I type. I am wondering about the marriage record for John Fanning and Eliza T. Ryan. Later she goes by J....or could the T look like a J or the other way around? The date is also after half the kids are born. (Now I realize that this could/does happen!!) Just an observation. I sent the RI archives an e-mail. Haven't heard from them yet. All of these names and dates give me more to ask for. Good! Thank you. Sorry about your sleep last night, but you are right -- lucky for me! I wondered how that happened that I had nothing before bed and suddenly in the morning a treasure trove of information...when you are the same time zone as I am!
