Hello All, I am looking for information regarding a family and an address dating back to 9/12/1905. On that date my great grandmother landed in New York city New York from Naples Italy, and indicated to officials her destination was 234 Pocossit Avenue, Providence RI to join her husband Ernesto Olenio. I can send you an excerpt image of the ship manifest that shows this detail, as there is some debate as to the address (penmanship issues). I want to find out who was living at the address to confirm a hunch I have in my genealogy. My hunch is that Michele Vernile was living at that address. He had a daughter Mary, who married a man named Sam DeLucca (sp?). Michele Vernile's wife died sometime in the early 1900's when his daughter Mary was just a girl, and Mary spent time with our family for a brief period during this girlhood time. In one of our old photo albums Michele Vernile is referred to as my great grandfather's half brother. Since my great grandfather (Ernesto Olenio) was a foundling, raised by a foster family in Italy, with no known parents a half brother would be quite a discovery for us. I am in Ontario Canada, can anyone in Providence RI help me? Again, I can send you images of ship manifests. Best regards and thanks, Tom Olenio -- Thomas Olenio Ontario, Canada Hardiness Zone 6a
