I am looking for more data and ancestors to SAMUEL GRANT KELLEY, b.3 Mar 1807 Warren, RI. married Rachael Wilson Elliot 18 Feb 1835 in Philadelphia, PA. They had two children in Phila. and returned to Providence in 1839. Issues: Samuel Elliot, b. 9 May 1836 Phila. PA. Thomas Sylvester, b. 27 Mar 1838 Phila. PA. Joseph Grant, b. 22 Dec 1839 Providence Sarah Allison, b. 21 Dec 1841Providence James, b. 30 Sep 1843 Providence John Hamilton, b. 16 Jan 1846 Providence Isaac Patrick, b. 10 Jan 1848 Providence Benjamin, B. 8 Sep 1849 Providence Samuel Grant was a deacon at the Roger Williams Free Baptist Church for 41 years in Providence. Was Architect with Tallman & Bucklin firm. Son, Samuel Elliot, was in the jewelry business with the old firm Mattewson & Allen on Waybosset St. and later it became Payton & Kelley Co. Inc. and Samuel became Pres. Many of these Kelleys lived in Providence into the 1900's. Many have been found in the Swan Point cemetery. We are looking for ancestors to Samuel Grant and trying to determine from, old stories, when this Kelley line came from Ireland, possibly North Orange. We have family Bible with a lot of data and an old formal family photo album with names to share with any descendants to this Kelley line.
