Penny, My ggg grandparents were Joseph BENOIT and Sophia COTE. They moved around New England a lot and lived several places in Maine, Boston, and I think around 1880 in Providence. They were both born in Sorel QC. It took me years to find thier birthplace in QC. If I can help, let me know.
