Hello Listers: I am seeking any information on my grandfather: Michael McCue-McHugh and/or his wife: Catherine (nee Glancy). They settled in Rhode Island after arriving from Ireland in the mid 1800s and married in 1859 in Pawtucket. Their children: Mary died after about 3 months; thomas lived about 18 months; Patrick lived to be 26 and had married Catherine Hackett; James was a mystery all his life. He was born in Central Falls in 1869 and ended up in Maryland in the early 1900s under the alias of Frank Williams. He was a patient in the Baltimore City Hosp. until 1943 where he died. My dad, Peter, was born in 1865 and died in Newark, N.J. in 194l. After my grandmother Catherine died, her husband married widow Maria (nee Fanning) Hanley in 1879 in Providence. Maria had three children of her own: Mary Ann, Patrick and Bridget. Michael & Catherine (with son Thomas) are buried in St. Patrick's cemetery in Cumberland, R.I. [email protected] Contact the Author
