I have been quietly enjoying the Scituate discussion, until I realized that I have research I've never confirmed that links me to the same Thomas son of James Mathewson (the immigrant). My research says Thomas married Martha Sheldon of Providence and had a daughter named Deborah b. 1716, who married Joseph Winsor of Providence. Has anyone else heard of Deborah Mathewson? It looks like she and Joseph moved away from Scituate to Gloucester. Thanks for any help! Pam: Thomas Mathewson (son of the immigrant James) did in fact marry Martha Sheldon. I would have to study the several hundred pages of the "Mathewson Gazette" to find names of their children.
