Regarding Nathanael Greene b. 1742 (by the way, the AEL is the accepted spelling of the younger Nathanael). Nathanel's wife, Catharine Littlefield (Caty) married Phineas Miller in 1796. They settled on Cumberland Island - land granted to her 1st husband after the Rev. War. He used Live Oak timber from the Island to try to pay off the debts he incurred while supporting the Rev. War forces. Phineas Miller was not only her children's tutors, but co-founder of the cotton gin. Caty had financially backed the project with Eli Whitney before the boys had a falling out. She is buried there in a marked grave. While the Greene/Miller home burned down long ago, a new one was built in its place. This one was built by Thomas Carnegie. Some of the Island is still held by Carnegie's descendents. Both mansions were named Dungeness. Both husband's didn't live long enough to enjoy their new homes on the Island.
