    1. Re: [RIPROVID] Ross and Sprague Families in Glocester 1765-1780
    2. Sue; Ross is one of the most frustrating names to search. There were Ross, in Kittery, Braintree, Watertown, Glouster, Newport and Block Island. In my research of the lines, I have found that all seen to have arrived in 1650/51, as indentured prisoners from the Battles of Dunbar and Berwick. The sticky part is that they all seemed to use the same Christian names, which makes the identification more Hellish. My line was at Block island, then Killingly & Lyme CT, on to vermont, New Hampshire and NY. You might want to contact Janet Delorey, [email protected] as she has a good deal of infoe on the various Ross lines. Alan Sherman
