Hello: I am seeking stats or info on my grandfather's family. Here is what I know: He was Michael McCue-McHugh who arrived in R.I. about 1845-50. He married Catherine Glancy in Pawtucket in 1859. They had 5 children: Mary (died after 10 months); Thomas (died at 15 months); Patrick (died at 26 and may have been married to Catherine Hackett); James ( born in Central Falls 1869 died in 1943 under alias: Frank Williams in Baltimore, MD. city Hosp.); and, Peter, my dad. Born in CF in 1865 died in Newark, NJ in 1941. After Catherine died, Michael married widow: Maria (nee Fanning) Hanley in St. Patrick's Church on Broadway in Providence in 1879. Maria had 3 children: Patrick; Mary-Ann Martin and Briget Riley. I have never been able to find the birth records of my father; aunt Mary (I have her death record) or Uncle Patrick. I have my ggrandmother's (Mary Glancy) death certificate (she died in Lincoln on July 5, 1883 at 84) but I cannot find where she is buried. My uncle Patrick died at 26 on JUNE 17, 1888 but I cannot find where he is buried. My grandparents lived at 13 Horton St., in Providence among other places including Central Falls, Smithfield and Lincoln. Michael and my dad both worked for the P&W RR and later Michael was a lamplighter. Michael, Catherine and at least their one son Thomas, are buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cumberland. Any other info you can provide would be greatly appreciated and all costs gladly paid. Peter B. McCue [email protected]
