Dear List Isn't this ridiculous, you can't do this and you can't do that unless you are a relly.......Next thing they will request written permission of the person so interred to allow access to these details......isn't this all going over the top. I wonder who makes these so called rules, or is this chest thumping by small minded persons who are trying desperately to be BIG deals.... I wonder what the real reason is for this small mindedness, I myself was interested in my rellies buried in Baraboo, Wisconsin from the mid 1840's upto the mid 1950's, talk about help covering; "what information do you want" "location of ALL sites at Walnut Grove" "can we take photos of anything for you", etc, etc.......This is of great help when the closest one gets is about 10,000 miles away in Australia...... The reason for my little "carry on" is that I have direct connections with the mob from Baraboo, in Providence (daughter & family of the immigrant parents) and was about to launch into finding all details about them (I sure hope they are not interred in the examples indicated in Rhode Island as discussed here........ Hi, Could just be simple security, to prevent theft of identity. Many criminals look for names and identities of the dead for their own gain. Possibly could be another side to this coin we are not seeing. Possibly, there were identity thefts associated with the location in question. Once burned, twice shy. Just a thought.
