I've "rescued" an old photograph of what I believe to be Curtis ANGELL which was taken at the Ye Rose Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Curtis likely about 3-4 years old at the time. I'm not completely certain of the first name because of a torn corner, taking with it a portion of the first name, leaving only the last four letters R-T-I-S of the first name. I'm thinking that the name is "Curtis", however, I'm not certain. I'm hoping to locate someone from the ANGELL Family in Providence who might be able to identify this as a member of their family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
There are many Curtis Angell names as well as others on My Family People Finder on Ancestry (present day) as well as city directories for Providence from 1867 - 1941. It appears the one in the city directory was in City Government. Several in censuses. I believe there was one in census which would indicate you are correct in the date you give for the photo.
