    3. Looking for Peter MCELROY, his wife, Isabella, and their children: Bernard b. cir.1815, followed by Sarah, William, Patrick, Ellen, Elizabeth & Roger, all born in Clones, (probably in Lisgorran) Ireland. All but Peter (the father) emigrated and had settled in North Providence, RI by 1850. Peter had probably died in Ireland. In Providence, this family lived on Darling Street and then on Pettis ! ! ! ! Pettis Street and attended the Immaculate C onception Catholic Church. Many of them were buried in the nearby St. Patrick's Cemetery. Many more MCELROYS (probably cousins) lived in the immediate neighborhood. Among the local families that these McELROYS married into were the SWEENEYS, MCANERLYS, REILLYS, MCCANNS, CARROLLS and another MCELROY family of Providence. As far as I know, William did not marry. If you can identify with any of this, please get in touch. Much of this information has come to me through the generosity of Loree Muldowney of the William McElroy branch. Thanks very much.
