    3. Very kind of you Barbara, as my GGGrandfather Martin and family have proven to be very elusive for me. I am looking for any information that can point to them. Martin was naturalized in 1890, and it appears he lived on Atlantic Ave.around that time, and later. I am trying to see if he remained in the area, as Catherine died in RI hospital in 1926. Seems strange that Michael & Catherine were buried at the same time, per Catholic Cemetery data from Providence Diocese. There is no headstone at St. Francis. Martin Kane, d:Oct 1933, 79 yrs old Martin is buried in Taunton. Catherine Ann Kane (wife), d: May 1926, 60 yrs old Michael Kane, d: Aug 1897, 35 yrs old Alice Seward, (Catherine's mother) d: Aug. 1897 Catherine, Michael & Alice are buried in St Francis Cem., Smithfield Ave. Bob.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Maggiacomo" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2002 12:37 PM Subject: Re: [RIPROVID] Need 1900 E.D. for Atlantic Ave, N. 3. Can anyone tell me if there is a 1925 RI census and , if there is, would someone be willing to check for Sarantos Anastos and louise Rachel (Helen) Anastos. I know they lived at 488 Washinton St, Prov. in 1928. I am interested to know what family they had. William Glendinning, Northern Ireland.

    1. RE: [RIPROVID] Mary Harris ( abt 1777 )

    3. Lewis, Suggest you check out the RI Historical cemeteries database. Unfortunately, there are tons of Mary Harris' and w/o more dates than you provided, its not possible for me to narrow down the list much. James and Thomas etc may be here as well. What worked for me was locating the possible candidates and then cross checking them with others of the same surname in the same cemetery. I'd start with the Harris pages rather than the search. Once you find a decent match for Mary, do a find on that page for the same cemetery #. The main page will take you to a listing of cemeteries which will describe their location. This database isn't 100% accurate but it is a good start. Once you get some possible dates, you can try the archives for death records, at least for the children, and work back from there. Below is the Harris page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~rigenweb/cemetery/cemetery156.html Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
