I thought you were looking for Thomas and wife Ann! I just finished checking RI and Worcester Co. MA for those names and found nothing except an Ann b. 1840 Ireland - but she was single. Should I have been searching for Mary? Please clarify. Florence

    3. Sorry about forgetting those critical details. Thomas and Ann were both born abt. 1840 in Ireland. They were married in Blackstone in 1863. Children that I know of: Ann born 1864 Patrick b. 1867 Mary b.1870 (from 1880 census only) Bridget b. 1872 (from 1880 census only) Rose b. 1873 Ellen b. 1875 Elizabeth b. 1878 All the children were born in RI - North Smithfield. I have the above from the 1880 and 1900 census where I found the children but haven't been able to find Thomas and Ann - the parents yet. Tom

    3. Dear List Isn't this ridiculous, you can't do this and you can't do that unless you are a relly.......Next thing they will request written permission of the person so interred to allow access to these details......isn't this all going over the top. I wonder who makes these so called rules, or is this chest thumping by small minded persons who are trying desperately to be BIG deals.... I wonder what the real reason is for this small mindedness, I myself was interested in my rellies buried in Baraboo, Wisconsin from the mid 1840's upto the mid 1950's, talk about help covering; "what information do you want" "location of ALL sites at Walnut Grove" "can we take photos of anything for you", etc, etc.......This is of great help when the closest one gets is about 10,000 miles away in Australia...... The reason for my little "carry on" is that I have direct connections with the mob from Baraboo, in Providence (daughter & family of the immigrant parents) and was about to launch into finding all details about them (I sure hope they are not interred in the examples indicated in Rhode Island as discussed here........ 3. Hi, Could just be simple security, to prevent theft of identity. Many criminals look for names and identities of the dead for their own gain. Possibly could be another side to this coin we are not seeing. Possibly, there were identity thefts associated with the location in question. Once burned, twice shy. Just a thought. 2. I can help you- do you know the Street and plot/grave number? I live in East Greenwich, but my entire family is buried there on Helzen Avenue. I dont know if they will give me the location of the plot you are looking for. Its a huge cemetaryand I dont know how I would find it without some type of plot # etc. Does the owner live in Rhode Island? There are no Charles Gould's listed in the Prov phone directory- just a C. Gould @ 401-828-1525. This particluar person lives in Coventry, RI- about 1/2 hour south of Providence. I know they are fussy at Swan Point; but once you do get their records, they are phenomenal- even listing name of Funeral Home, cause of death etc. on each burial record. When I found my great great great grandfather , John Wanton Babcock buried there, I had to prove evidence through my research that I was related to his family. Beverly in East Greenwich, RI

I have found my ggg aunt, Mary Ann (Brooks) Gould, after two years of searching mind you, who is buried in Swan Point Cemetery with her husband Stephen Lane Gould. I contacted the cemetery and they can not give me any information because the owner of the plot is a Charles Gould (who I do not know of) and I am not a direct descendent of his. Therefore, I cannot find out who is buried with them, dates, etc...I know this is a lot to ask... did I say this was two years of looking?, if someone lives near the cemetery, could they possibly check the plot to see who is buried there and the dates? I know this is a lot to ask, but I'm hoping. Thank you, Debbye
