Researching WILLIAM CHAPMAN b 1760 Scituate RI, married in Providence RI 1785 to AILEE WILLIAMS b 1767 Clarendon, Rutland Co., VT(dau of JOSEPH WILLIAMS b 1739 Scituate RI and descended from ROGER WILLIAMS). I lose William and Ailee Williams Chapman after they sold their property in Clarendon VT 1803, and until their son HIRAM CHAPMAN shows up in Stockholm NY in 1822, when he married MARY/POLLY SMITH (first cousin of Jos.Smith, Jr.-The Prophet). Anyone researching these lines, or any info about them appreciated. Diana Chapman Owen

I'm always looking to make contact with any distant relatives that are descendants like myself of Nicholas Bell(a Great-grt-grandfather) who emigrated from County Tipperary, Ireland in 1872 coming through NYC but settling with his wife and children in Providence. One of his daughters Ellen Maria married William Edward Flanagan(one set of Great-grandparents). Brother William Edward Bell married Agnes Flanagan, sister of William Edward Flanagan. The Flanagans arrived from County Clare in 1858 and settled down the road in East Greenwich. Apparently there were Fitzgerald cousins of the Bells around Providence as well as Corrs. Interested in making contact with any Bells, Flanagans, Corrs, or Fitzgeralds. Ed Hagerty Monroe, CT
Hi Arlene, I'm wondering about your Taylor's. Mine were in Scituate/Foster/Glouster, mainly Providence County back to mid 1700's. My line goes from a John who was Rev. war vet from Situate to Benjamin, Richard, Richard,William,Walter,Walter,Walter and then myself. There is a Taylor family Lot (cenetery on Brandy Brook Rd., Scituate with many of my ancestors buried there. I am researching with several other Taylor descendants whose earliest known ancestor a Thomas left Scituate or Foster and ended up at Upstate N.Y.by early 1800's. I think that I have written to you before, not sure. Do you think that your line of Taylor's is connected to mine?
