Hi! Tom, Try the Providence Journal: www.projo.com I think you can get an address and/or phone number from that in order to connect with their Archives. Also: State of Rhode Island Department of Vital Statistics Cannon Building 3 Capitol Hill, Room 101 Providence, RI 02908-5097 I have used this in the past and found them to be very helpful. Happy hunting! Lynn Georgia, USA

Thank you Frang
Frang, The 1930 is scheduled to be released next month. R.I. however, will not indexed. Only 13 southern states are soundexed, two only partially. Hi Colette, Do you have info on William Gardiner who married Freelove Joslin on either May 19, 1737 or May 19, 1744. On the latter date, I have the source as being, South Kingston, Marriages, Vol 1, page 156. I am mainly interested in as much info on Freelove, and the Joslin family, as I am in info about the descendants of Freelove and William Gardiner. I am a descendant of Thomas Joslin from Cumberland, RI who I believe was the brother of Freelove. Thanks, Peg

Claudia Schuman has transcribed the diary of her great-great grandmother, Esther Palmer Clark, and has donated the transcription to the RIGenWeb Washington County site. It appears Esther had compiled a genealogy for her grandson, Leon Clark Crockett. All information was handwritten in pencil or pen and Claudia has transcribed it as best as she could. There are countless well known Rhode Island surnames that appear in it, Clark, Palmer, Lewis, Tefft, Sherman, Harrington, Brewster, Campbell, Barber, Crockett, Woodward, Wilcox, plus many more. This material is not indexed, you can use the "Find" feature to search for surnames. It may be accessed at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~riwashin/Clark/
