1930 Census has Ernst Campbell and wife Mary living in Fall River, MA renting, living with them are Henry and Pauline Lamareaux Father and Mother assume Lena married by then and living elsewhere.

additional info from 1920 census has an Ernest Campbell 23 born Maine parents born Maine listed as son inlaw and Mary his wife listed as daughter born Canada age 22. It appears that they travelled a lot from town to town..

More from the 1920 census Emery Born French Canada parents born Canada, Pailine born Vermont parents born Frnech Canada. Lena born RI. So far unable to find them in 1910 or 1930. The 1920 Census says Emery came to US 1895.

Emery Lamoreaux Age: 56 years Estimated birth year: 1863 Birthplace: Canada Race: White Home in 1920: Fall River, Bristol, Massachusetts Living fall River with wife Pauline and dtr. Lena 1920. A difficult search because last name spelled amny ways. also Appoline becomes Pauline in 1920 Census.

I am looking for information on a Lena Leona Lamareux who was born 5-4-1905 in Providence, Rhode Island and died in 1985 in Ohio. She married a Lacey Alfred Wiseman (1897 WV-1971-Ohio). Her parents were Emery Lamareux (1865-1930) and Appoline Bernard (1860-1953). I would like to find her in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census if that is possible. Thanks, Jackie

Sorry for the CONFUSION. I must have had another senior moment. I meant 1878, not 1778, in my earlier message query: Does anyone on this list have a working knowledge of the availability of passenger lists for immigrants entering the Port of Providence - for the year 1878? I have checked NARA and the Family Search website of the LDS FHL, but have been unable to find even the images, let alone indexes, for that year. Was the port closed to the public during this period? Was there normal traffic, but the lists were lost or damaged? If the first reason is correct, where did most of the immigrants residing in Providence during the 1880 Census enter the country? Howard
