I am looking at a reproduction of an older Portsmouth map and it shows Butts Hill to be located on the East Main Road some distance north from Quaker Hill. If you have any old maps, looking "down" on one, it will be almost opposite Gould Island in the Sakonnet River to the east and a little further north than Lehigh Hill on the West Main Road. There are many very old houses in Portsmouth still standing and most still occupied. Barb Austin
