I'm searching for parents ancestors of Anna GOULD, b. in May 1741 in RI. She m. abt. 1760 Deacon Charles DEAKE/DAKE, and they moved to Washington Co., NY. She medically carried for her husband and son after the Battle of Bennington fought on Aug. 16, 1777 during the Rev. War. The Battle of Bennington took place in a village now called Walloomsac, New York. This village is several miles west of Bennington, Vermont. She was probably related to the William Deak (Or Dake) Gould a wounded Rev. War soldier from Albany Co. who went to Nunda, Livingston, NY, in 1819. William Gould was buried on the Levi Gould lot near Richmond and Whitcomb vault with no stone or marker. He died on Nov. 24, 1842 ae 88. His family consisted of: William D. Gould and Abigail Cattrell Gould; Daniel who m. in Sparta; Buel who went west and died there; Levi who m. Amelia Weedright; George lived at Craig Colony; Millie m. Harvey Freelove; and, Eliza m. Jehial Johnson (drowned at Wellsville). He was m. circa 1792. [Nunda Centennial, pp. 153-4.] Annie is listed as a PATRIOT of the REVOLUTIONARY WAR DAR Applicant 33016-Miss Harriette A Ingalls stated: Charles was wounded in the battle of Bennington, carried with the Hessian prisoners to a meeting house were his wife nursed them.
