Newport Researchers, I am still a little confused by the boundary lines of Fall River in Mass & R.I. area. So let me list my problem and/or question and hopefully someone can help. I have William Francis/Frances b. ca 1780 in Tiverton, R.I. I am trying to get the exact name of his father.....probably a John Francis. William was living in Tiverton his whole life, until 1860 census where he is 80 years old, and it shows he is living with his daughter, Anna Perry, wife of Pardon Perry. They are in Fall River, Newport County, R.I. I understand it became mandatory to report deaths after 1853?, so I am wondering where I could find a list of deaths in Tiverton after 1860? I know there was also a Fall River in Bristol Co, MAss also, so do I need to check there also?
