Does anyone have any information on any of the following families from Tiverton, R.I., and Freetown, MAS areas: FRANCIS/FRANCES family NEGUS family, COREY/CORY family ESTES family. I am researching William Francis b. ca 1780. William's mother's name was Susannah ____? After William's unknown father died which I don't have a date on his death, Susannah Francis, a widow, married Roger Cory. The reason I know that is when Roger Cory died in 1799 in Tiverton, he mentioned his wife Susannah's 2 sons under 21 years of age, named William Francis and Thomas Francis. He stated he married Susannah Francis, a widow. I also found a couple of sites that claim William Francis b.ca. 1780 married Patience Negus, daughter of Stephen and Hope Negus. William did marry a Patience...but I can't verify her last name. And the Patience that is the daughter of Stephen and Hope Negus, appears to have married a Joseph Sanford according to what little I found at ancestry.com. Any help would be appreciated.
