Donald Lines Jacobus did a great deal of research on the Rich family. It is found in TAG (The American Genealogist) about 1945/6. Very good stuff. The articles are titled, "The House of Rich" (TAG 21:234-238; 22:27-37, 157-165, 240-248, and 23: 101-110) There is a small follow up article in TAG April 1984 page 91, but this does not address your problem.
