I don't live in Little Compton any more but maybe this information will help some. You may have this book already "Little Compton Families" by Benjamin Franklin Wilbur Great book lists, genealogy of original families of Little Compton. I found the book in the Denver (CO) Public Library. The New Bedford (MA) Free Public Library has a great genealogy section with a lot of information on families who lived in Little Compton. The hours of operation are limited though. There is a book by David Patten that tells a lot of stories about the old families of Little Compton. I cannot remember the name of the book though. In Little Compton there is a store on the Commons named Wilburs store if you get there again they may have the book in stock they were out when I was there. David Patten wrote for the Providence Journal, he grew up in Little Compton. The some of the early town records (before the town became part of RI) can be found in Taunton MA. Hope this helps some.
