Hi, I just joined this list. If there is a more appropriate list for my query, could someone please tell me. Sarah Thurston married Jonathan Davenport on May 16, 1780, in Little Compton. Sarah's parents are listed as Thomas and Mary Thurston. I have been trying to trace the lines of Thomas and Mary but have had no success. It is likely that Thomas is descended from Edward Thurston and Elizabeth Mott ( the first of the Thurstons in Newport County), but I have not been able to make a connection. The only Mary that I have been able to identify that married a Thomas Thurston in the correct time-frame is a Mary (Mercy) Sunderlin (or Sunderland) who married on October 18, 1743, but have no way of knowing if this is the correct Mary.
