Hi, Trying to trace very early land transactions starting around 1660 in Little Compton & Tiverton, Mass (Now Rhode Island). Does anyone have suggestions. I have been to the Little Compton Town Hall and the FIRST transaction I can find with the name of JONATHAN (SPRINGER) selling some of his land to HENRY HEAD in 1708. I have read that most of the land in Tiverton and Little Compton FIRST belonged to Benjamin CHURCH in the Pocasset land purchase from the Plymouth Bay Colony. Trying to locate when Lawrence Springer who died in 1703/4 FIRST purchased his land. Sometime between 1660-1708.
