Hi Dave I have found the early land records of Tiverton R.I. right in Fall River at the Registry of Deeds, at the Court House on North Main Street. The index book has the dates 1686-1862 on it. I was looking for my Gifford line information, and was surprised to see the same Tiverton Records there as I got when I went to the Tiverton Town Hall. After the record it says "a true copy from the transcripts of Tiverton Records deposited in the Registry of Deeds for the No. Dist. of Bristol Co." Then has the book # and Page # and then says "Attest: Emma E. Gray, Examiner" These records are easier to read than the records at the Tiverton Town Hall. Maybe there are some Little Compton records there too, since it was once part of Bristol Co. Massachusetts. I hope you have a lot of luck in searching the books. Marge
