Hi Alice: I Probably signed up for the mailing list and didn't know how it worked, but I'm anxious to hear from anyone that might have information for me. You said you have Harringtons,Rices, Holdens and Greenes. I am mainly interested in finding Benjamin Harringtons parents, he was born in Coventry Kent RI in 1780, Married Elizabeth Rice who was the Dau. of George Rice and Sarah Soule, they came to Union Co. Ohio sometime after 1808 , thats when their last child was born and all 5 0f their children were born in RI and died and are buried in Ohio, Union Co. is a little north of Columbus. Sarah Soule is my gggggrandmother and is the ggggrandaughter of George Soule who came over on the mayflower. The Rices go back from George to John Rice who came over from Suffolk Eng. and married Elizabeth Holden dau. of Randall Holden and Frances dungan. does any of this connect with anyone on your list? They all had lots of kids. I have hit a dead end with the Harringtons with Benjamin. If you have anything to help I'd appreciate it Thanks Mary Harrington Shumaker ----- Original Message ----- From: Alice M. I have Alice Rice who married James Andrews. Alice is supposed to be the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Joslin Rice but I haven't really done much work on the Rice branch yet. Alice's son is Stephen Andrews who is married to Annis Spink. Their son Benjamin married Lydia Spencer. Their daughter Caroline Lydia Andrew who married Luther Gorton. Their son, George Gorton, is my grandfather. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary&jim Shumaker <mjshumaker@ee.net> To: <RIKENT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2000 8:57 PM Subject: Re: Maple Root Cemetery > Hi Alice: I Probably signed up for the mailing list and didn't know how it > worked, but I'm anxious to hear from anyone that might have information for > me.
