Sarah Kee and Richard Rice had 10 children listed, but no Joel. george is my gggggrandfather he was born to Sarah and Richard !744. Ebenezer his brother was born 1735. I got this information from Johnson/gilbert Family file on Roots web.com. they have marked that Ebenezer had children but I didn't check out their names, because at the time I was interested in George. Maybe Joel is Ebenezers son. they had 6 boys so that might help you find him. Hi: Its a small world is't it. I just started into geneaology a year ago' and your file really helped me find that side of my family, thanks. I checked all of those books and records you had listed, got them from the Mormans and at the Ohio Historical Society. Do you have any info. on Edmund Rice who supposedly was John's father? He is'nt the Deacon Edmund that everyone is researching, but I keep thinking that there is a connection somewhere??? I am going to RI this summer, and see if I can find anyones grave. When Elizabeth Rice married Benjamin Harrington they came to Ohio in 1817 with all 5 0f their children, and I've been to all of their graves, but I can't find any of their birth certificates in RI. Their son David had 9 kids by his 1st. wife and 3 by his 2nd. ( they are my grandparents) She had 4 by 1st. husband , so they started quite a dynasty in Union and Logan Co.If you have anything more on the Rices I'd love to have it.
