    3. Hi Does anyone know of John Tripp b. 1610 d. 1678 and Mary Paine d. 1687? They were supposed to have had a son, James Tripp b. 1656 who had two wives--Lydia Unknown and Mercy Lawton. John Tripp was Court of Commissioners 1654, 55, 61, 62 and 63. He was the Assistant for many years and also served as Deputy to General Assembly 1664, 66, 67, 69, 70 and 72. The Tripps in Beaufort Co., NC are supposed to be descended from this line of James and Lydia Tripp. James was and Ensign 1689 (what does that mean?). There is mention of Peleg Tripp, RI, Deputy 1681 and 1686. Does anyone have the family line for them? They were supposed to have come South before the Revolution.--Betty ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
