Alice, this is true. If I where to look down in the middle of the page it states "Coventry was the western portion of Warwick and was incorporated August 21 1741." Also on the page it states "January 12, 1642, Miantinomi, the chief of the Narragansett tribe, sold this land (Kent County) to Randall Holden, John Greene and nine others." This being the case, then the John Greene, son of John, that Betty is looking for who was born in 1651 and died in 1721 in Coventry could be the son of the John in 1642. Also since he died in 1721 he actually died in Warwick since Coventry was not incorporated until 1741. Depending on when Kent County was taken from Providence John was born in either Warwick or Providence.
