    3. I recently became the State Contact for Rhode Island. I'm looking for a few good volunteers to join GenExchange and our group of many volunteers working to bring free access to genealogical information over the internet. If you live in or near one of the open counties or have access to material from any county, please consider adopting a county and becoming a county contact. To adopt a county go to the county contact list on the state page and click adopt me from any vacant county. Fill out the application and hit return. It is that simple, Your application will be reviewed and you will hear from us in a couple of days. 3. Hello list, This is a young and small list, however we are gradually getting more subscribers. So far no one has submitted any messages, I suggest that each of us list our surnames of interest and/or any other information about our lines, or anything you wish to discuss, any suggestions, maybe we can get acquainted and get some discussions going. My main line is Constantine Maguire, his wife's name is Ruth, their four children were born between 1749 - 1757 in Warick and East Greenwich, I have come to a dead end on Constantine and Ruth, do not know where they were before 1749 or after 1757, Constantine was a schoolmaster, I do not have any more information about them but do have lots of info about two of their descendants. Their Children: Mary, b.16,Feb.1749/50, Mary was born in Warwick, the rest were born in East Greenwich, no other information about Mary. Mercy b.28,Mar.1753, supposedly m. George Sweet,Jr. John, b.19,Apr.1755, m. Sarah Slater/Slafter c.1783 Sabra, b.11,Sep.1757, no other infomation about Sabra. Some connecting lines in Kent and Washington Counties are: Slater(my Slater line is derived from the Slafter line), Sweet, Money, Henderick, Lewis, and Davis. Good hunting to all, hope to hear from you, -- Arlan Maguire... 3. Welcome to the RIKENT-L mail list That makes about 3 of us here now. Hopefully it will grow fast. I suggest you write a brief note to the list about your lines and interests in Kent County. We at the Rigenweb have never considered county mail lists due to the small size of Rhode Island, we have always had a state list instead. There are currently over 400 subscribers to the state mail list and there are always discussions going on concerning all 5 counties. If you are not subscribed to the RIGENWEB-L list you may wish to. Just send the usuall subscribe message to: RIGENWEB-L-request@rootsweb.com -- Arlan Maguire...
