    3. Hi Dick Thanks for sending me the info on Cem #135. I should have several Greens buried there. I don't know if you are getting this message twice as my computer froze, and I had to turn it off. I don't know if what I had replied to went through or not. Thanks also for the website. It will show me where some of my other Greenes are buried.--Betty ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! 3. Hi Dick Thank you for finding that for me. I have been working through some data that shows that there are several Greens in this Cemetery. Is there a way of getting a listing of what Greene are there? I didn't know if something was published.--Betty ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! 3. Hi Betty, This is the info I have on Cemetery #135: CY135 MAPLE ROOT CEMETERY COVENTRY HARKNEY HILL RD ->25 ft. S If memory servers me correct it is a good size cemetery. If you are not overly familiar with Coventry, Harkney Hill Road is off of Rt. 3 . Route 3 changes it name a few times and I think where Harkney Hill Road connects to Rt.3 it is Tiouge Ave. I have not been able to get around a lot with my back the way it is, but if I drive by it in the next few days I will take a quick look around. I live on the other side of the town. You also might want to check out htis web site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~rigenweb/cemetery/descript01.html Dick Young "Betty G. In the Rhode Island His. Soc. Coll. V. 12 p. 25 is a section about John Greene who married Abigail Wardwell. There is mention of letters to Gen. George W. Greene, compiler of the Warwick Greene Genealogy that there was a letter from a descendant of John stating that after for some reason John had changed his name from John Clarke to John Greene. In the Providence Gazette for Oct. 15, 1797, Ushal Greene stated that his father was a veteran in the Army of Citizen Cromwell of protecting memory, and brought to America a sword with which his father had fought in 11 battles. Does anyone know about this or could shed further light on the name change or about fighting for Cromwell. Is there a book by Gen. George W. Greene? If so, is it still available?--Betty ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access!
